coherent - sticking together; marked by an orderly, logical, and aesthetically consistent relation of parts; capable of thinking and expressing yourself in a clear and consistent manner
belabor - attack verbally with harsh criticism; to work at or to absurd length; beat soundly
eschew - avoid and stay away from deliberately; stay clear of
acquisitive - eager to acquire and possess things especially material possessions or ideas
emulate - compete with successfully; approach or reach equality with; imitate the function of (another system), as by modifying the hardware or the software; strive to equal or match, especially by imitating
banal - repeated too often; overfamiliar through overuse
excoriation - severe censure; an abraded area where the skin is torn or worn off
congeal - become gelatinous
carping - quibbling over insignificant details; noun persistent petty and unjustified criticism
substantiate - solidify, firm, or strengthen; establish or strengthen as with new evidence or facts; make real or concrete; give reality or substance to; represent in bodily form
temporize - draw out a discussion or process in order to gain time

ramify - grow and send out branches or branch-like structures; divide into two or more branches so as to form a fork; have or develop complicating consequences
intransigent - impervious to pleas, persuasion, requests, reason
taciturn - habitually reserved and uncommunicative
